Why does Dilly ask for my password again?

Some grown-up actions need your account password, not only the phone check. It keeps a child who picked up the phone from changing things.

Dilly has two kinds of grown-up checks.

The phone check

Opens the Parent/Teacher area, the plans page and the learning report. It uses Face ID, Touch ID, the phone's passcode, or a number puzzle. See The phone check.

The account password

The password asks for more. You type it again to:

  • Say yes as a parent for a child under 13
  • Add a child
  • Change a child's grade
  • Delete a child's profile

The password is the stronger check because these actions change the account. The phone check keeps a child who picked up the phone out, but it is not a lock on the account.

What if I forgot it?

See I forgot my password.

Adult accounts

An adult account is for one person using Dilly for themselves. The grown-up steps on your own profile do not ask for a password, because you are the grown-up.
