Grades and ages
Which grades Dilly covers, how the grade is picked, and what a grade changes.

- What grades does Dilly cover?Kindergarten through 12th grade. The grade picker has 13 choices, from K to 12.
- How does Dilly guess my child's grade?Dilly suggests a grade from the birthday. It only suggests. You can tap any grade.
- How do I change my child's grade?Open the Parent/Teacher area, tap Change on your child's grade, and confirm. It needs your account password and keeps everything your child made.
- Does the grade change the lessons? Not today. Every grade uses the same app and the same lessons. The grade is used for a few small things, like a note for the youngest readers.
- Will the lessons feel too young for my high schooler? They may, at first. The lessons are written at a younger reading level, and lessons for teens are planned. The ideas are about how AI works.
- Can my kindergartener use Dilly?Yes, with a grown-up beside them. Dilly does not read out loud, but your iPhone or iPad can.
- Can a teenager sign up on their own?Not in the first version. A parent or guardian makes the account, and your teen has their own profile on it.
- Why does Dilly ask for my child's birthday? To suggest a grade, and to know whether a parent needs to say yes first. Dilly keeps it with the profile.
- I typed the wrong birthdayThe app has no screen for changing a birthday after it is saved. You can change the grade, and you can email us.
- My child is younger or older than school ageDilly is for kindergarten through 12th grade. The picker still lets you choose a grade, and Dilly tells you what it is made for.
