Every child has their own profile. It holds their companion, their progress, their coins and their streak.
Your first child
After you make your account and say a grown-up is setting this up, Dilly asks "Who is this for?" It needs only two things:
- Their first name
- Their birthday
Dilly then asks for their school grade. When it is time to hand over the phone, your child sees a line like "Ready, Maya? Take the phone!" and taps the button with their name on it. Then they pick a companion.
If your child is under 13, a parent says yes before they start. See A parent says yes first.
Adding another child later
- Open the Profile tab.
- Tap Parent/Teacher area. Your phone checks that a grown-up is holding it. See The phone check.
- Go to the page called "Students and invitations" and tap Add student.
- Type the student's first name and birthday, and pick a companion. Tap Continue.
- Confirm the grade. Dilly asks you to type your account password again before it adds the child.
Switching between children
When an account has more than one child, the Profile tab shows Switch profile. Tap it and pick a child.
