Dilly is an app for children in kindergarten through grade 8. A child picks a companion and teaches it, one skill at a time. Then the child builds things with what the companion learned.
How it works
A new companion starts out able to do nothing yet. Everything it can do is something your child taught it.
- Your child picks a skill to teach their companion.
- They teach it by tapping prepared choices. There is no typing when teaching.
- The finished skill becomes a puzzle piece. Pieces fit together in the Workshop to make something.
Kids Should Learn About AI, Not Just Chat With It.
At Dilly, we believe children should learn how to communicate with AI effectively, safely, and responsibly, without being exposed to unrestricted AI chatbots.
That's why Dilly uses carefully designed, age-appropriate lessons that teach children how to interact with AI without actually chatting with it. Through fun, interactive activities, kids learn how to ask better questions, give clear instructions, evaluate AI responses, and recognize when AI gets things wrong.
Our mission is simple: Teach children how to use AI, not just rely on it.
What is not in the app
- There is no AI in Dilly. Everything your child sees was written in advance, and nothing your child types is sent to an AI service. Your child taps prepared choices instead of typing. Missions have some writing steps.
- There are no ads.
- Dilly does not sell your child's information.
