You can delete your whole account in the app. Please read the whole page first. Once the 7 days are up, it cannot be undone.
This is different from deleting one child's profile. To delete a profile and keep your account, see Delete a child's profile.
Where to find it
- Open the Profile tab and tap Parent/Teacher area. Pass the phone check. See The phone check.
- Tap Continue until you reach Plan and billing.
- At the bottom of the page, tap Delete my account.
If you use Dilly yourself with an adult account, open My account instead. The button is at the bottom of its plan page.
Steps
- Tap Delete my account. The phone check comes first.
- A sheet asks "Delete your account?" It says what goes. Tap Keep my account to stop, or Yes, keep going.
- A last sheet says "Last chance." It also says what is kept. Tap Keep my account to stop, or Delete my account.
- A screen says your account is set to be erased, and gives the date.
The 7 days
Nothing is erased right away. Dilly waits 7 days first.
- While you wait, the student profiles on your account are hidden.
- Log in any time during the 7 days and tap Keep my account. Your account stays, your profiles come back and nothing is erased.
- When the 7 days are up, your account cannot be kept any more.
What is erased
Everything is erased 7 days after you ask:
- Your login.
- Every student profile on it, with their progress, badges and creations.
After that, nothing can bring it back.
A profile shared with another grown-up stays with that grown-up.
Once your account is erased, the app also clears its own copy on the phone.
If you pay for a plan
Your plan keeps running while you wait. Deleting the account cancels a running plan when the 7 days end.
To end it at the end of the period you paid for, cancel it in Manage plan first. See Manage your plan.
What is kept
- The payment company keeps its own payment records.
- Backups kept by Dilly's service companies can take longer to clear.
