This is a short overview for parents. Each part links to a longer page. The words are kept close to what the app itself says.

A grown-up says yes first

Children under 13 can only use Dilly after a parent or guardian says yes. See A parent says yes first.

What Dilly keeps

Dilly keeps your child's first name, birth date, school grade, companion and nickname. It also keeps what your child writes, draws and makes, plus their progress. We use this to run Dilly for your family and show you how your child is doing. See What Dilly keeps.

Who can see it

In the app, your child and grown-ups with access to their profile can see it. The people who run Dilly's servers can reach it. So can the companies that host or process it for us, like our hosting and email companies. We use them only to run Dilly. Dilly does not sell it and does not share it for ads. There are no ads. Nothing your child makes is posted anywhere. See Who can see your child's information.

Payments

If you buy a plan, Stripe handles the payment. Dilly does not see your card. Stripe gets your email and an ID code, never your child's name. Dilly keeps the plan and its dates.

Is there AI in Dilly?

There is no AI in Dilly. Everything your child sees was written in advance, and nothing your child types is sent to an AI service.

What a grown-up can do

You can look at what your child has made and learned in the Parent/Teacher area. You can delete your child's profile in Settings. Deleting a profile removes their progress, badges, streak and everything they made from the app. You cannot bring it back from the app. You can also delete your whole account in the Parent/Teacher area. See What you can do with your child's information, Delete a child's profile and Delete your account.

The full privacy page

The privacy page on the Dilly website repeats what the app says: trydilly.com/privacy. It is not a full privacy policy yet. See Where are the terms of use?
