Dilly does not decide how long your child uses it. It shows no minutes to your child and has no screen time setting.
What limits teaching
Teaching your companion uses battery each time your child taps Send. On Free, the battery is 20 in total and does not recharge. On Core, it is 30 each week. When it is empty, teaching waits. Missions, the Room and practice keep working. See What is the battery?
The battery is part of how the app works. It is not a screen time limit.
Setting a limit yourself
Your iPhone and iPad have a feature called Screen Time. You can set a daily limit for any app there. Use your device's own settings for that.
