Can my child buy something by accident?

No. Your child never sees a price. Plans are behind the phone check, and payment happens on Stripe's page.

Dilly is not on the App Store yet, so no plan can be bought yet. When it opens, three things stand between your child and a payment.

1. Your child never sees a price

If something is locked, the button says "Ask a grown-up." It does not show a price.

2. The phone check

"Ask a grown-up" opens a phone check before the plans page. It uses Face ID, Touch ID, the passcode or a number puzzle. See The phone check.

3. Payment is on Stripe

When you choose a plan, payment opens in your phone's browser on a page run by Stripe, where you pay with a card or Apple Pay. Your plan starts when Stripe confirms the payment.

The phone check asks for Face ID or the passcode. A puzzle is there when the phone has neither.

The phone check is not a lock on the account

A child who knows the phone's passcode could pass it. Dilly says so. Stripe still asks for card details or Apple Pay.
