Does Dilly use the camera, microphone, location or photos?

No. The only thing Dilly asks the phone for is Face ID, to keep a child out of the grown-up area.

No. Dilly does not ask for your camera, microphone, location, photos or contacts.

What Dilly asks for

Face ID. The app uses it only for the phone check. The reason Dilly gives is, "Dilly asks for Face ID so only a grown-up opens the plans and the parent area." If your phone has no Face ID, or you say no, Dilly offers the passcode or a number puzzle instead. See The phone check.

What Dilly does not ask for

  • Camera
  • Microphone
  • Location
  • Photos
  • Contacts
  • Permission to send notifications

Does Dilly take pictures or record voices?

No. Your child teaches their companion by tapping prepared choices. Missions do not take photos.

Can my child send or share anything?

No. The app has no share sheet and no way to post. Nothing your child makes is posted anywhere.

The phone check asks for Face ID or the passcode. A puzzle is there when the phone has neither.
