Does Dilly need the internet?

Yes. Your account and your child's progress are saved on Dilly's servers, so the app needs a connection. When it cannot connect, it says so.

Yes. Dilly keeps your account and your child's progress on Dilly's servers, so it needs a connection.

When it cannot connect

Dilly shows a friendly card with a Try again button. It might say, "We can't reach the internet. Check your Wi-Fi, then try again!"

While teaching, it may say, "We could not reach the server. Your place is saved." Your child can come back and keep going.

Wi-Fi or mobile data

Dilly does not have a setting to use only Wi-Fi. We have not published how much data it uses. If you are on a limited plan, use Wi-Fi.

Offline

We have not documented an offline mode. Plan to be online when your child uses Dilly.

What to try

  1. Check Wi-Fi or mobile data.
  2. Tap Try again.
  3. Close the app and open it again.

See I see a "Try again" message.
