What AI literacy does Dilly teach?

Dilly teaches habits for using AI tools wisely: asking clearly, checking answers, testing, keeping details private, and knowing when to ask a person.

Browse topics

Dilly teaches how to work with AI tools, not how to build them. The skills are habits.

Habits your child practices

  • Asking clearly and giving limits
  • Checking an answer against facts
  • Telling facts from guesses and clues from proof
  • Testing an idea before trusting it
  • Fixing one thing at a time
  • Keeping private details out of what you share
  • Noticing when examples treat people unfairly
  • Knowing when to ask a person

Each skill page in the app has a short note called "Why it matters with AI."

How it is taught

Your child teaches a companion and tests what it learned. They see why an answer goes wrong, then fix it.

There is no AI in Dilly. Everything your child sees was written in advance, and nothing your child types is sent to an AI service. The companion is a character. See Is the companion alive or real?
