A skill is one thing the companion can learn to do. Examples are "Find patterns," "Check claims" and "Ask good questions."
Skills are habits for working with AI tools, not school subjects. One skill is to give a hint and not the answer. Another is to test an idea before trusting it.
What a skill comes with
- A name, such as "Find what went wrong"
- A short lesson your child plays through. Most skills have four practice versions.
- One puzzle piece, earned when your child finishes the lesson
- One ability line, such as "Pip can find what went wrong"
How skills are used
Your child teaches one skill at a time. A finished skill stays with the companion for good. In the Workshop, pieces from different skills fit together to make something. See The Workshop.
Dilly has 75 skills ready today. See How many skills are there?
