What if my child writes something private in a mission?

Writing steps turn away emails, links, phone numbers and addresses. Names and other details are not caught, so please talk with your child.

Missions have a few writing steps. Our terms ask you to tell your child not to write private details there. Examples are a full name, an address or a phone number.

What the app turns away

A writing step turns away emails, web links, phone numbers and home addresses. The app says, "Please say 'my sibling' or 'my friend' instead of a name."

What it does not catch

A friend's name, a school or a town can get through. Please talk with your child about what to leave out.

Where it goes

What your child writes is saved to their profile on Dilly's servers. It is not posted anywhere, and it is not sent to an AI service. See What happens to what my child types?

If you want it gone

The app has no button to remove one answer. You can delete the profile. See Delete a child's profile. Or email privacy@hellodilly.com and tell us what you need. Please leave your child's name out of the first email.
