What do "Worth another go" and "Talk about it" mean in the report?

They are two short parts of the report. One points to a skill that could use more practice. The other gives easy ways to start a chat with your child.

  1. Worth another go
  2. Talk about it
  3. Where the sentences come from
  4. "How we know"

These are two parts of the learning report for grown-ups.

The report says what your child did, with dates. It never gives a score, a grade or a rank.

Worth another go

It says, "A little more practice can help." It points to a skill your child could go over again. It is not a mark against your child. It is the same kind of note as "Getting the hang of it."

Talk about it

It says, "Easy ways to start a chat." These are a few short ideas for things to say or try with your child.

Where the sentences come from

The Dilly team wrote them in advance. The app does not make them up for each child, and there is no AI.

"How we know"

On Core, each line can open the practice behind it, such as "First try without a hint on 3 of 4 prepared questions." See How to read the learning report.
